Brisbane audiences will be treated to heart-warming storytelling, fabulous songs and entertaining antics when Queensland Cabaret Festival (QCF) returns for its third year from 2-12 June 2016. Applications are now open for artists to take part in the program of international and Australian performers.
According to Queensland Cabaret Festival co-creative producers Kris Stewart and Alison St. Ledger, they’re excited to be working on next year’s festival after the reception of the event this year.
Kris Stewart commented “With Queensland Cabaret Festival the aim was to continue the decade-long story of Brisbane Cabaret Festival and to expand it be a bigger collaboration across a variety of venues.
“This year we had Mary Wilson (The Supremes), Geraldine Turner, Tom Burlinson, Rob Mills, Tex Perkins and dozens of local performers join us at the festival and in 2016 we anticipate an even larger selection of talent.”
“In 2016 we’re looking for performers who can thrill, beguile and excite audiences with their talent and storytelling skills.”
Queensland Cabaret Festival is a collaboration between Brisbane Powerhouse, Queensland Performing Arts Centre and Queensland Cabaret Foundation.
